Horizons appoints Gareth Parker as first CEO

March 1, 2023

Horizons is delighted to announce the appointment of its first CEO, Gareth Parker.

Gareth has over 20 years of experience in the charity sector, including senior roles at Shelter and Centrepoint, and founded the multi-award-winning football charity The Homeless FA in 2012.

His career focus has been on equity and social mobility, particularly through sport and the arts, and he brings a wealth of relevant experience to the role. He also brings a burning passion for our work, and we cannot wait to see where he takes the organisation.

As well as an outstanding professional career, Gareth has a real passion to put children's and young people's voices and aspirations at the centre of our work. We are looking forward to Gareth’s leadership in making a huge difference across Haringey and Enfield.

James Page, Horizons Trustee

I am thrilled to take up my role here at Horizons, there is such huge potential, and I can’t wait to build on the fantastic work already done. As CEO I will work tirelessly to provide equity of access to transformative opportunities for ALL young people in Haringey and Enfield.
