Tireless fundraising efforts and the immense generosity of our donors ensures that these young people can access life-enriching experiences, such as outdoor experiences at Pendarren House.
Last month, James Page, Chief Executive of Haringey Education Partnership (HEP) and Chair of Trustees for Horizons, and Rob Lane, Headteacher of Welbourne Primary School in Haringey, laced up their trainers and hit the asphalt of York in northeast England for the annual Yorkshire Marathon.
Despite the wild, wet weather stirred up by Storm Ashley, James and Rob powered through the stormy conditions with one mission in mind - to raise as much as they possible could for Horizon’s.
The pair were delighted their training efforts had paid off with Rob finishing in 3 hours, 53 minutes and James at 4 hours 21 minutes. But what was even more rewarding was the incredible support of the 88 generous donors, who gave more than £4,000 towards their target.

This funding will provide life-changing opportunities, including outdoor education at Pendarren House in the Brecon Beacons, respite for parents and carers of students with disabilities, and educational trips abroad for students excluded from mainstream schools.
